A Technical Marketing Engineer works at the intersection of Marketing and Engineering and may also interface with Product Management and Sales.
A Technical Marketing Engineer may perform these activities:
1. Marketing: Develop technical collateral (such as white papers, case studies, documentation, best practice guides, videos), perform analysis of competitors’ offerings or participate in other Marketing functions.
2. Product Management: Develop technical roadmaps, specify/prioritize product features, and participate in other Product Management functions.
3. Sales: Perform some responsibilities of a Sales Engineer.
4. Engineering: Engage in non-mission critical activities such as setting up test environments, performing testing, writing code samples, and developing tools.
